Expressão informal, usada para perceber algo com a visão periférica, sem olhar diretamente. É comum usá-la quando se vê algo rapidamente ou sem querer mostrar que se está a olhar. Só se aplica à visão. 'Vi pelo canto do olho' é um uso típico.
