Discutiu, brigou ou disputou intensamente por algo, normalmente para chegar a um acordo. Às vezes também significa controlar ou lidar com animais difíceis.

É mais usado para disputas prolongadas ou intensas ('wrangled over the assunto'). Em contextos rurais, pode também significar controlar animais problemáticos. Mais formal do que 'argued'.
