Golpear algo o a alguien con mucha fuerza, a menudo causando un sonido fuerte. También puede significar derrotar a alguien claramente en una competencia.

Es informal y puede sonar juguetón o exagerado. A menudo se usa para dar énfasis o en tono humorístico, especialmente 'whop someone at a game'. No tan fuerte como 'golpear brutalmente'. Más común en el habla que en la escritura.
