تحدث بهدوء شديد بحيث يسمعك فقط من هو قريب منك. غالباً يتم ذلك لتجنب سماع الآخرين أو لإظهار السرية أو الألفة.

'Whispered' هو صيغة الماضي من 'whisper'. يُستخدم للكلام بصوت منخفض وسري. شائع مع عبارات مثل 'she whispered a secret' أو 'he whispered in my ear'. غالباً يدل على الخصوصية أو الألفة.
