約束や賭け事でのお金の支払いなどを守らないこと。
Usage Notes (Japanese)
英語では少し古風で、主に「welch on a bet」「welch on a promise」のように使われます。単なる約束破りには使いません。お金や賭けに関する場合に適しています。
