在語言學中，「濁音」是指聲帶震動所發出的聲音（如英語的‘z’）。更廣泛地說，也可以指被用言語表達出來的意思或看法。

在語音學中，「濁音」如“b”“d”等與聲帶震動有關的音。日常語境裡，常見搭配如"voiced an opinion/concern"（公開表達看法）。不等於「voice」本身。
