Definition

यूटिलिटीज़ वे बुनियादी सेवाएँ हैं जो जनता को दी जाती हैं, जैसे पानी, बिजली, गैस, और कभी-कभी कचरा संग्रह या इंटरनेट।

Usage Notes (Hindi)

'utilities' आमतौर पर बहुवचन में ही इस्तेमाल होता है, जैसे बिजली, पानी आदि सेवाएँ। किराए या मकान संबंधित चर्चाओं में आम ('utilities included' = बिल शामिल हैं)। इसे 'utility' (उपयोगिता या सॉफ्टवेयर) से न मिलाएँ।
