食品や薬のパッケージに記載され、安全に食べたり使ったりできる最終日を示す言葉です。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

'消費期限'は安全性に関する表示で、記載日以降は食べたり使ったりしないこと。'賞味期限'（best before）とは異なります。通常、日付と一緒に使われます。
