'Underweight' चिकित्सा/स्वास्थ्य संबंधी औपचारिक शब्द है। आम प्रयोग: 'clinically underweight', 'underweight children'। इसे 'पतला' (दिखने में) या 'हल्का' (वस्तु का वजन) से न मिलाएँ।
