Definition

薄手で、肌に直接着るための袖なしや半袖のインナーシャツ。他の服の下に着て汗を吸収し、服を清潔に保つ役割があります。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

'undershirt'は男性用のイメージが強いですが、男女問わず使います。アメリカ英語の表現で、イギリス英語の'vest'に近いですが、タンクトップ（外に着る服）とは異なります。
