একই মায়ের গর্ভে একই সময়ে জন্ম নেওয়া দুই শিশু। একই রকম দেখায় এমন দুটি জিনিসকেও বোঝাতে পারে।
Usage Notes (Bengali)
সাধারণত একইসঙ্গে জন্ম নেওয়া ভাইবোনদের বোঝাতে ব্যবহার হয় এবং বেশিরভাগ সময় বহুবচনে ('তারা যমজ'). 'আলাদা জোড়া' বোঝাতে 'একজোড়া যমজ' বলা হয়।

The twins have the same birthday.

She is one of the twins.
সে **যমজ**দের একজন।
I always mix the twins up because they look exactly alike.
