Definition

দেহের কোষ অস্বাভাবিক বা অনিয়ন্ত্রিতভাবে বাড়লে টিস্যুর যে গিঁট বা পিণ্ড তৈরি হয়, তাকে বলে টিউমার। টিউমার ক্ষতিকারক (ক্যান্সারাস) বা নিরীহ (বিনাইন) হতে পারে।

Usage Notes (Bengali)

মেডিকেল প্রসঙ্গে বেশি ব্যবহৃত হয়। সাধারণত 'benign tumour' (নিরীহ টিউমার), 'malignant tumour' (ক্ষতিকারক টিউমার), 'brain tumours' ইত্যাদি শব্দগুচ্ছ ব্যবহৃত হয়।
