Definition

चलने से तेज़ लेकिन दौड़ने से धीमी गति से चलना; खासकर घोड़ों के लिए, कभी-कभी इंसानों के लिए भी। यह चाल खासकर जानवरों की होती है।

अधिकतर घोड़ों की चाल के लिए, लेकिन कभी-कभी मजाकिया तरीके में इंसानों या अन्य जानवरों की तेज़ लेकिन दौड़ से कम गति पर भी कहते हैं। अक्सर 'at a trot' जैसे वाक्यांश मिलते हैं। इंसानों के लिए औपचारिक रूप में कम चलता है।
