Definition

主に遊びや観光など短期間の旅行や遠足に行く人を指します。正式な観光客とはやや異なります。

主にイギリス英語で非公式に使われる表現で、長期間の旅行者には使いません。'day-tripper'は日帰り旅行者を指します。

The beach was crowded with trippers enjoying the sunshine.
