'Trepidation' সাধারণত খুব গভীর ও দুশ্চিন্তাসূচক অনুভূতির জন্য ব্যবহৃত হয়, যেমন 'with trepidation' বা 'felt a sense of trepidation' ইত্যাদির মধ্যে। প্রতিদিনের কথোপকথনে এটি খুব একটা ব্যবহৃত হয় না।
