দীর্ঘ সময় ধরে যে গভীর শারীরিক বা মানসিক কষ্ট বা যন্ত্রণা অনুভূত হয়, তাই 'torments'।

Usage Notes (Bengali)

'Torments' বেশ সাহিত্যিক এবং গম্ভীর পরিস্থিতিতে ব্যবহৃত হয়; সাধারণ কথোপকথনে খুব বেশি ব্যবহৃত হয় না। 'torments of guilt', 'mental torments' ইত্যাদি প্রকাশে ভালো।
