トニックは健康や元気を増すために飲む飲み物や薬です。また、炭酸飲料の「トニックウォーター」や、音楽で使う「主音」も意味します。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

医薬品・健康用語ではややフォーマル。飲み物としては「tonic water」（例：「ジン＆トニック」）が一般的。音楽では「主音」の意味。日常会話で普通の飲み物としては使いません。
