Definition

「トースト」は加熱して焼いたパンのスライス、または祝いの場などでグラスを挙げて誰かや何かを称える言葉や行為のことです。

パンの意味では数えられる複数形「トースト」を使う場合がある。「乾杯」や「祝辞」での複数回も表せる。動詞で使うときは注意。

I had two toasts with jam for breakfast.
