Um título é o nome de um livro, filme, canção, artigo ou outra obra. Também pode significar um cargo oficial, distinção ou forma de tratamento, como "Doutor" ou "Rei".

Na maior parte das vezes, 'title' é o nome de uma obra: 'the title of the book'. Também se usa para cargo ou categoria social: 'job title', 'royal title'. No desporto, 'win the title' significa tornar-se campeão. Não confundir com 'name': 'title' é mais específico e normalmente mais formal.
