Definition

जोता जाना मतलब खेत या बगीचे की मिट्टी को पलटना और तोड़ना, आमतौर पर फसलों की बुवाई के लिए।

Usage Notes (Hindi)

मुख्य रूप से कृषि या बागवानी में प्रयोग होता है। आम वाक्यांश: 'tilling the land', 'tilling the soil'। 'digging' की तुलना में ज्यादा औपचारिक/तकनीकी शब्द है। छोटे गड्ढे खोदने के लिए उपयोग नहीं होता।
