هو صيغة الجمع من 'thousand' ويعني مجموعات كثيرة من الألف. ويمكن أيضًا استخدامه بشكل أوسع للدلالة على عدد كبير جدًا من الأشخاص أو الأشياء.

يُستخدم بعد الأرقام الدقيقة مثل 'two thousand' الشكل 'thousand' وليس 'thousands'. فنقول 'two thousand people' لكن نقول 'thousands of people'. والتعبير 'thousands of' شائع جدًا للدلالة على عدد كبير غير محدد.
