কোনো কিছুর সবচেয়ে ব্যস্ত বা সবচেয়ে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ অংশে থাকা, বিশেষ করে যখন মূল ঘটনা বা উত্তেজনা ঘটছে।

Usage Notes (Bengali)

এটি সাধারণত অনানুষ্ঠানিক। 'in the thick of things' ফর্মে বেশি দেখা যায়। যখন কেউ খুব সক্রিয়ভাবে যুক্ত, তখনই ব্যবহৃত হয়। কাজ, অনুষ্ঠান বা আকস্মিক পরিবেশে বেশি চালু। 'in the heat of the moment' থেকে আলাদা, কারণ এখানে অংশগ্রহণ গুরুত্ব পায়।
