ごく正式または古風な表現で、すでに述べた内容や書類などに「それに対して」「それに関連して」と言いたいときに、主に法的・公式な文書で使います。

日常会話や一般的な文章ではまず使われず、主に契約書や法的な書類に現れます。「agreement and documents thereto」は「契約およびそれに付随する書類」となります。
