Definition

누군가를 도와주기 위해 법정 등에서 증언하는 것.

법정 등 공식 상황에서 흔히 쓰임. '~를 위해 증언하다'는 편을 들어주는 의미. 'testify against'는 반대로 증언함. 'testify for the defendant', 'testify for a friend'와 같이 써요.
