地球や陸地に関係すること。水中や空中ではなく、主に陸上に存在する生物や物事を指す。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

主に生物学や天文学など科学分野で使われ、日常会話ではあまり使われません。「地上動物」「地球型惑星」などと表現します。「extraterrestrial」と混同しないように注意。
