Tentar alguém a fazer algo, especialmente algo que não deveria fazer; atrair fortemente.

Geralmente usado para ações erradas, arriscadas ou proibidas ('tenta a roubar'). Pode também indicar forte atração, até positiva ('o emprego tenta-a'). O termo é mais formal/literário que simplesmente 'quer'.
