Definition

物事や人について情報や詳細を話すこと、または経験を説明すること。相手に特定の話題について語ってほしいときに使う表現。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

会話や文章のどちらでもよく使う。'〜について話して'や'〜を語って'は個人的な体験や詳細な説明を求める時に使う。'tell'単体の「伝える」とは用法が異なるので注意。
