Definition
望遠レンズとは、遠くの被写体を大きく写すことができるカメラ用レンズです。主にスポーツや野生動物など、離れた被写体を撮影する際に使われます。

「望遠」は主に「望遠レンズ」として使われます。遠くのものを大きく写す効果ですが、ズームレンズ（焦点距離を変えられるレンズ）とは異なるので注意しましょう。固定焦点の望遠レンズも多いです。
