정해진 시간에 맞추어 도착하지 못하거나 늦게 오는 것을 의미함.

'지각'은 학교, 회사 등 공식적인 자리에서 주로 사용하며 잦은 늦음을 나타낼 때 사용함. 일상적으로는 '늦다'라고 말함.
