Definition

物語や本、映画などの主要な内容や出来事を簡潔にまとめたもの。

主に学術、出版、ビジネスの場面で使われます。「write a synopsis」「plot synopsis」などの表現に多く用いられ、普通の要約よりさらに簡潔です。意見や議論の要約には使いません。
