公式な立場に就く際、誓いを立てて就任すること。特に公的な職位で使われます。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

主に政治家や公務員など公的な役職で使われます。受け身の形『sworn in』で使われることが多い点に注意。『swear』の罵りとは意味が異なります。『sworn in as president』のように役職が後ろに続きます。
