الاستطلاع هو مجموعة من الأسئلة لجمع المعلومات أو الآراء من الناس، أو فحص دقيق لمنطقة ما، خاصة الأرض.

يستخدم 'survey' كاسم وفعل: في الأبحاث لجمع رأي الناس (استطلاع)، وفي الهندسة لفحص الأرض. من الشائع قول 'do a survey' أو 'conduct a survey'.
