感情や行動、プロセスなどが現れるのを止めたり、抑えたりすること。
Usage Notes (Japanese)
主にフォーマルや科学的文章で使われる。'emotion', 'growth', 'evidence', 'appetite' などとよく一緒に使う。'oppress'（弾圧する）とは意味が異なるので注意。
