ऐसी चीज़ जो केवल सतह पर हो या गहरी न हो, या ऐसा व्यक्ति जो गहराई से न सोचता हो न परवाह करता हो।

Usage Notes (Hindi)

अक्सर किसी को उथला या गहराई से न सोचने वाला कहने के लिए प्रयोग होता है। आम शब्द जोड़े: 'sathee chot' (superficial wound), 'sathee gyaan' (superficial knowledge), 'upar-upar ka rishta' (superficial relationship)। इसका प्रयोग असली या रूपक दोनों उदाहरणों में होता है।
