Definition
Kişinin neredeyse bilinçsiz olduğu, düşünme veya hissetme yetisini kaybettiği durumdur; genellikle şok, ilaç, hastalık veya aşırı yorgunluk nedeniyle oluşur.
Usage Notes (Turkish)
Daha çok tıp veya resmî dilde kullanılır. Sıklıkla 'ilaç kaynaklı stupor' veya 'şok sonrası stupor' gibi ifadelerde görülür. Sadece yorgunluk değil, aşırı zihinsel donukluk anlatılır. 'Koma' ile aynı şey değildir.
