일반적으로 기타 등 손가락이나 피크로 연주하는 현악기에 주로 쓰입니다. 바이올린처럼 활로 연주하는 악기에는 사용하지 않습니다. 'strum a chord', 'strum gently'와 같이 많이 씁니다.
