Definition

‘이야기’의 복수형. 상상이나 실제 일어난 일을 재미, 정보 전달, 설명 등을 위해 들려주는 내용. 책, 영화의 줄거리나 누군가의 경험담을 가리킬 수도 있다.

주로 '어린이 이야기', '실제 이야기'처럼 이야기나 경험을 나타낼 때 사용합니다. 가끔 뉴스 기사(‘top stories’)나 영화/책의 줄거리에도 씁니다. ‘history’(역사)와는 다릅니다.

My grandmother tells funny stories at dinner.

우리 할머니는 저녁 식사 시간에 재미있는 **이야기들**을 해주세요.

The book has three short stories.

그 책에는 짧은 **이야기들**이 세 개 들어있어요.
