Definition

穴や隙間を物でふさいで、何も通らないようにすること。よくパイプやボトル、壁の隙間などに使います。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

やや堅い表現で、指示や説明文(「stop up the hole」など)でよく見られます。日常会話ではあまり使われません。「stop」と混同しないよう注意（動きを止める意味ではない）。
