बड़ी घिरी हुई जगहें जहाँ गाय, भेड़ या सूअर जैसे पालतू जानवरों को मारने, बेचने या भेजने से पहले रखा जाता है।

Usage Notes (Hindi)

अधिकतर ऐतिहासिक, कृषि या औद्योगिक संदर्भों में प्रयुक्त होता है। बहुवचन 'stockyards' सबसे आम है। खासकर अमेरिकी मिडवेस्ट शहरों की बड़ी सुविधाओं का उल्लेख करता है। इसे 'barn' या 'feedlot' से न मिलाएँ।
