Definition
'Stick up' puede significar sobresalir o apuntar hacia arriba. En lenguaje coloquial, también es robar algo usando amenazas o un arma.

Es una expresión informal. 'Stick up' puede usarse literalmente ('My hair sticks up': el cabello sobresale) o en sentido de robo ('They tried to stick up the bank': asaltar un banco). En asaltos, también se usa como sustantivo 'stickup'. No confundir con 'stand up for' (defender a alguien).
