'Sterns' বলতে নৌকা বা জাহাজের পিছনের অংশের একাধিক রূপ বোঝায়। এটি সাধারণত নৌযানবিষয়ক আলোচনায় ব্যবহৃত হয়।

‘Sterns’ শুধুমাত্র নৌকা বা জাহাজের জন্য ব্যবহৃত হয়, সাধারণ কথাবার্তায় কম ব্যবহৃত। ‘stern’ মানে কঠোর বা গম্ভীর নয়; শুধুমাত্র নৌযানের পেছন বোঝায়।
