自分の役割や責任範囲を越えて、他人の仕事や権限に干渉し、相手に不快感や不安を与えてしまうこと。

主に職場やチーム活動などで比喩的に使います。物理的に踏む意味ではなく、相手に「越権行為」と思われる時に使います。謝罪の気持ちを込めて使うことが多いです。
