速記者とは、主に裁判所や会議などで話された言葉を速記を使って素早く書き取る仕事をする人です。

主に裁判所や公式な会議で使われることが多いです。'速記者'は速記の技術を持つ全ての人を指せます。最近は『裁判記録官』など他の呼び方と区別されることがあります。
