남의 물건을 훔치는 사람을 일컫는다. 야구에서는 도루를 자주 시도하는 선수를 의미하기도 한다.

'도둑'은 일상생활에서 가장 많이 쓰임. 야구에서는 도루 관련 맥락에서만 사용. 평소엔 'thief'나 'robber'를 주로 씀.
