Definition

밖에 나가지 않고 집이나 실내에 머무르는 것. 보통 본인의 선택이나 상황에 따라 결정됩니다.

비공식적이고 대화체에서 자주 쓰임. '오늘 밤 집에 있다', '왜 집에 있니?'와 같이 '오늘', '왜'와 함께 많이 쓰임. 'stay inside'는 외출 자체를 아예 안 한다는 의미로 구분됨.

I want to stay in tonight and watch a movie.

나 오늘 밤엔 그냥 **집에 있으면서** 영화 보고 싶어.

Sometimes we just stay in when it's raining.
