밟다짓밟다

Definition

발로 세게 밟거나, 누군가의 생각이나 감정을 억압하거나 짓누르는 행동을 의미한다. 실제와 비유적으로 모두 사용됨.

실제로 세게 밟는 상황과, 생각이나 권리를 눌러버릴 때 모두 사용된다. '밟다'는 'step on'보다 강한 느낌이다.

Don't stamp on the flowers in the garden.
