Usado para ações físicas de semicerrar os olhos, geralmente por luz forte, distância ou visão pouco clara. Costuma vir seguido de substantivo/pronome ("squint at o quadro"). Não é igual a "encarar" (stare) ou "olhar rápido" (glance). Significa olhar de olhos apertados.
