「飆」是指突如其來的強風，通常伴隨著雨、雪或暴風。也可以指突然大聲的哭喊。

多用於天氣報告，如「snow squall」（暴雪陣風）、「rain squall」（暴雨陣風）。動詞「to squall」比較少見，指大聲哭叫。不要和「squirrel」（松鼠）或「squalor」（骯髒）混淆。
