튀기다뿌리다

Definition

액체가 작은 방울로 무엇인가에 튀거나 떨어지게 하는 것, 보통 무의식적으로 또는 세게. 향수나 물을 넉넉히 몸이나 사물에 뿌린다는 뜻도 있음.

주로 물이나 향수같은 액체에 사용. 실수로 튀기는 것 외에, 향수 등을 일부러 듬뿍 바를 때도 쓴다('splash on some cologne'). 비격식적이고, 고체나 걸쭉한 것에는 사용 안 됨. 'spill'은 더 크게 쏟는 뜻으로 구별됨.

You splash on some water to wash your face.
