스피크이지는 1920년대 미국 금주법 시대에 불법적으로 술을 팔던 비밀 술집이나 바를 의미합니다. 오늘날에는 그 시절을 모티브로 한 은밀한 바에도 사용됩니다.

'스피크이지'는 보통 은밀하고 특별한 분위기를 가진 술집에 쓰입니다. 일반 바나 호프집에는 사용하지 않습니다.
